John R. Riddle : Professional Biography
Deputy Special Coordinator
Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe

Mr. Riddle supports the Special Coordinator in formulating and supervising policies and programs to help the more than 40 governments and organizations of the Pact strengthen the countries of South East Europe.

A career diplomat, Mr. Riddle came to the Pact from the U.S. Department of State, where he was most recently Deputy Coordinator for Assistance, responsible for management of U.S. Government's aid programs throughout Eastern Europe. He has also worked in the office of the Secretary of State on foreign assistance matters and managed relations with Saudi Arabia as well as U.S. policy toward the Inter-American Development Bank and African Development Bank. He has been stationed abroad on State Department assignments in Spain, Liberia, Argentina and Peru.

Mr. Riddle holds a masters degree in Public Administration from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin. He is married and has three children.
